Frequently Asked Questions

Bear with me as we grow this platform into something amazing! I will answer questions in this section as they come up. If your question isn't answered here, please feel free to reach out via chat, email, a text message, or a call. 
 

FAQ's

Scribes

  • If you're interested in earning money, there will be a members only page where we post a list of Surgeons requesting a scribe to input their preference cards. There will be a price next to the job. Notify us if interested.  Scribes are chosen based on the order we receive your request and your availability. Processes may change as we see how things are working!

  • Payments will be made directly to you via Zelle or Venmo once the card is complete and ready to go live. 

  • Scribes are chosen on a first come first serve basis. Check back periodically to see new jobs that may come up.

  • In order to effectively scribe, it is probably best for you to work in the facility, or live near the surgeon making the request. That doesn't have to be a deterrent however. If you are able to coordinate information sharing with the Surgeon, and gather everything you need to complete the card, that's all that matters!

Custom hard copies of preference cards

Avoid delays due to internet speed by having a hard copy available for staff use.

 

We are happy to have a hard copy of your individual preferences professionally printed upon completion of data entry. The hard copy will have scannable QR codes to give staff access to the same data available through links in our online version. In addition you will get extra pages that can be used to add additional notes, or make changes in the future.

 

Prices are based off each individual procedure and are as follows:

 

Perfect Bound : $130

Spiral Bound: $130

Hole Punched and organized into a customizable  binder with select laminated removable pages: $200

Membership Activation

Once you sign up for membership give us 24-48 hours to activate your Canva account and add you to The Surgery Studio team. This will give you access to create and edit preference cards.

 

When creating a new card, the title should read as follows:

 

"Draft-(Surgeons Name)-(Procedure)"

 

As an example:    Draft-DrJenniferAllen-Myomectomy

 

When the card is complete, or sufficient to go live, change the title to:

 

"Live-(Surgeons Name)-(Procedure)"

As an example:   Live-DrJenniferAllen-Myomectomy

 

We will upload new cards to the website by 10pm daily.

 

You can continue to make changes as often as needed.

Limiting editing capabilities

Surgeon membership levels have the option to limit who has access to make final edits of their preference cards. After signing up for membership we will send you an intake form to gather some information including a list of who you want to give access to. Each person will have to have their own individual membership so we can add them to the Canva team and assign permissions. You can update the list anytime by emailing us with the change requests. 

Cancelling Membership

You have the ability to cancel your membership anytime under your profile. This will prevent any future charges from being made to your account. 

Returns

If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason and you haven't altered the book or written in it, please send me an email to let me know then send it back within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Unfortunately, I am unable to refund shipping costs at this time. 

I can give you a partial refunds on custom printed preference books. You will receive a 50% refund minus the cost of shipping. Notify me via email if you would like to initiate a refund request. 

Orders

At this time books are being printed to order. Give us 1-2 weeks to get your copy printed. We ship using USPS priority mail. You will be notified and sent a tracking number once your order has been placed in the mail.
